Prior to visiting my son on Vancouver Island last year, my favourite place to go was always the Rocky Mountains in Alberta. My province is centrally located within Canada but throughout my life, each time there was a holiday to plan, I never wanted to go east, always west. To the mountains.
My mind completely changed when I went to Vancouver Island last September to see Taz. Although it’s still going west, but even further west than Alberta.
I think it’s so cool that this place exists in Canada. It stays lush and green all winter long. No snow and rarely below zero.
I can’t wait to go back.
This morning it’s -24 degrees Celsius (-30 if you factor in the wind), where I am and a balmy plus 2 where Taz is.
Thank goodness my car is plugged in.
