Luckily I was never much of a candy person as I have enough vices when it comes to unhealthy foods. Gummy worms, those Haribo candies and especially sour candies have never been my thing. My weakness was always chocolate. Or baked goods such as cupcakes, cookies, brownies and cakes.

Krispy Kreme donuts leave me weak in the knees.
Macarons I’ll pass on, too sweet, if that makes any sense.
I do enjoy strawberry Twizzlers and if I’m at the movies I like to have the sweet n’ salty thing going on when I alternate between salty buttery popcorn and Skittles. Otherwise, nah, I can pass on the Skittles.
I swore off sugar last April and did really good at the start but since Sid’s birthday in November and then Christmas in December, I’ve fallen completely off the wagon. We made such yummy treats for Sid’s birthday and I’m a sucker for cake pops, which my girls made themselves. Then all of the Christmas baking that comes with, well, Christmas, had me once again addicted to the sugar.
Just recently my older daughter Bella-Lena has started her own little home based bakery, specializing in cakes etc and I’m at the mercy of all these from-scratch cupcakes and slutty brownies. It’s so hard to have self-control when she’s asking me to taste the cookie dough buttercream icing she’s just whipped up.
