I would have loved to live the life of, and walk in the shoes of, Lady Mary Talbot from Downton Abbey. I was obsessed with that show and was lucky enough to have watched it at a time in my life where I apparently had oodles of spare time to binge on it.
I was completely enamoured and sucked in by Downton Abbey. The clothes, the castles, the decor, the poshness of it all.
Ladies in dresses always. Gentlemen. Ughhh. Love that.
And the eldest of the three daughters was Lady Mary Talbot. I am the middle of three daughters so why did I identify most with Mary?
She was strong willed, smart and nobody told her what to do or when to do it.
Also, like me, she’s brunette. I’m not sure why that matters but it does. Is anyone else like this? I always felt akin to other brunettes. Picked Veronica over Betty, based on the fact she was brunette.
Back to Lady Mary and her attributes, she had a quick tongue and no qualms about saying what was on her mind. She was fearless. Strong willed. Head over heart almost always. Much like me.
