Because we’re north of the 55th parallel I’d say winter is our forte. Out of 12 months, we’re enveloped in snow and subzero temps for at least 7 of them. So we have to get it down pat.
Autumn is brief, it starts in September, (and sometimes even late August) but by October it’s waved bye-bye and the white stuff and freezing temps are upon us.
Once the winter season comes and goes, which feels like at least 3 years, spring comes in the form of verrrry slowly melting snow and slightly warmer temps. It usually takes a good portion of May to see the snow completely disappear. Summer pops in sometime in June.
Some years it pops in and then disappears. Actually most years. This year is no different. Other than the extreme forest fire situation, the weather now is on par for June.
We had some scorching hot days but then they buggered off. Right now the furnace is running, we’ve had to turn it back on as the daytime highs these last few days aren’t reaching more than plus 7 Celsius, that’s about 44 Fahrenheit.
By next week summer will return and we’ll enjoy and savour it for the rest of the month and July/August.
Which is my favourite? I don’t know honestly. They all have their perks I suppose.
