A new woman

Daily writing prompt
What’s your favorite thing about yourself?

Some days the timing of the prompt is bang on, or the day fits with the prompt perhaps. Today is not one of those days.

I’m in a very dure state of mind, thanks for the new word WrookieSchU, I hope I’ve used it correctly.

Currently I kind of despise myself for what my mind does, so in order to answer the prompt I’ll err on the side of vanity.

It’s silly but it is timely as summer is upon us, I love the fact that I tan so easily. There I said it.

I just need ten minutes in the sun and bam! My skin is brown. I fully realize a “tan” is nothing short of damage to the skin by uv rays but after 7 months of winter, I’m here for it.

Some people sit in the sun all day and stay pasty. Or just burn. I’ve got this tanning thing down to a science. It’s like my power naps, 6 minutes and I’m a new woman.

With my sisters, I’m far left

  1. Vitamin D too. If you have a bit of a tan, you’re protected more from further sun, so it’s not a bad thing to have a tan. So I don’t getting colour, because it saves me going out another day and burning to a crisp.

Having said that, a german girlfriend of a friend said she went all around the world and was outside a lot and got a tan the entire way, no issues. But she arrived in Sydney and had a coffee at 4 in the afternoon and got burnt for the first time.

Something wrong with the sun here:-(
