Made it to Winnipeg…740 kilometres later! Just Sid and I and Remi, our dog.

Met up with sissy (Cordelia) as soon as we got here and shopped til we dropped.

Now relaxing in the hotel waiting on Skip The Dishes.

      Yes longgg drive through the bush lol…so far so good with the fires, I mean they’re holding and not spreading too much. There are people from all over up there helping out, even Australia and New Zealand…oh and Mexico!

        Yeah, must be a lot going on if there’s lots of people helping. No point hanging around, leave early as they say in our ads.

        Yeah, we get these every summer, some ads are bit horrific though. But you’ve done the right thing, what’s the point in taking risks, plus if everyone leaves late you can get stuck or the roads are blocked, it happens a lot.

    Yeah!!! I’m super glad you guys made it there safely, that fire tripled in size. Hope you get back to “normal” soon, whatever that looks like anymore.

      Yep, besides the smoke it’s all good…kids n i just got back home…nope wasn’t an evacuation i just wanted a break lol
      I’ll be back on WP tomorrow am with my usual mundane contributions lol….gonna catch up on reading shortly…that 8 hr drive is exhausting 😅
