A good book, currently re-reading Whitethorn Woods by Maeve Binchy
A good Netflix series, just finished Sirens, Four Seasons and La Palma…Sirens by far the best of the three
The sound of leaves in the trees in summer
And well, a good breeze…one that’s just right, 15-30 km/hr
Half a day where I don’t spill anything
When the takeout order is correct and all in the bag, a rarity in Thompson
Smoke-free days (I think we’ve had 3 so far this summer)
Estate sale treasures
Good hair days
Unboxing my Temu order (I knowwwww…I’m so sorry, I may go to hell for it…I only do it once in a blue moon I swear)
A good eggs benny
Seeing my plants florish
Seeing my kids florish
Making it to garbage day with enough room in the bin
Compliments
The way the water glistens on the lake when we’re out fishing
Catching more fish than Clint (makes me insanely happy)
A good long, heart pounding walk
Brushing my teeth in the morning, feels soooo good
When my favourite spoon is clean and hasn’t been used already by someone else
Stepping onto a dry bath mat, these kids get out soaking wet I swear, like nobody taught them to basically dry themselves off, including legs and feet BEFORE stepping out…oh yeah, that was probably supposed to be me…they argue, that’s what the bath mat is FOR Mom!!
Clean sheets
Dark salted chocolate
Napping outside
A shopping cart that drives straight
Nail day
Planning a trip
This blog and all of you
Frozen blueberries, Greek yogurt and my homemade granola, I swear I could eat this all day everyday
I know it’s smoky in a lot of places but this is what we’re dealing with at times, this was Saturday evening around 7 pm…like an apocalypse was near…photo by Nuno PereiraAnd just like that, the wind shifted and yesterday we had one of the three nice, smoke free days
I like your numbers 1, 2, 14, 26, 29, and 30. And because of you’re number 16, I’ll say, well done, my friend. That smoke is crazy, and I hope you get more smoke-free days.
