I wish I didn’t have to …

-empty the damn dishwasher everyday (but am I grateful to even have a dishwasher, yes of course)

-start the car and let it warm up before driving it, every time I need to go somewhere in the winter

-brush the snow off the car each time I need to go somewhere

-feel guilty for not seeing my parents enough

-feel guilty when I miss a workout day

-feel guilty when I eat something I shouldn’t

-dye my roots every four weeks just so I can pretend I’m ten years younger than I am

-pluck chin hairs, like ever again

When we first signed up to be foster parents in the spring of 2022 I got this room all ready, for a small baby lol, we ended up with an 18 month old (Sid) and so I had to replace this bassinet with an actual crib & today it’s a little boy room 🙂

    as for your car. is it a manual transmission? if not, i’m sure there are remote starters that can be installed for it. Mike

      Hey Mike, thanks!
      Yeah I do have remote start, most vehicles come with them I think. But the factory remote starts are not that great, like you can’t start them from long distances, the after factory ones are amazing though and will even ding you back once it’s started so you know that it actually did. Or many now start from apps on your phone too.
      So i know pressing a few buttons isn’t difficult, it’s just the fact that we have to at all lol, and then remembering to do it at least 20 minutes before you need to go somewhere 🤷🏻‍♀️

        That is cold! 🥶 A few degrees warmer here (haha) though I did see my breath this morning.

    “Guiltfully” I love that word! Does it get really cold where you are? Here in Minneapolis it gets cold, but only that really, really bad cold for a week or so in January. Although this week has been colder than normal.

      It gets pretty cold yes! We are almost 1500 kilometers north of you!

        That’s a good ways up there! That’s almost the same distance as from here to Miami.

        It’s currently-18 C or about 0 F and we’d consider that warm, especially because it’s only 8 am 🌴

    Makes me think my fantasy of living in a place with snow is not so great after all. I lived in Cleveland so I know what you’re talking about, yes it was a pain, and probably worse where you are.

    Love how you quickly went to ‘feeling guilty ….’. Maybe it’s more – I wish I DID have the energy and discipline to…

    We are humans after all I s’pose 🙂
