I’m not sure unwinding after a demanding day is something I’ve ever done. If I don’t actually put a name on something and call it something, I either haven’t done it or I’ve done it without realizing. What I mean is, I’m never at work and thinking, ahhhh I cannot wait to get home and get in the hot tub or have a glass of wine or go for a walk or do yoga.
I just continue my day when I get home and do the things I need to do until it’s time to go to bed. That’s not to say there’s no down time where I might lay on the couch, scroll on my phone or read a book. I will do that when time permits. But there are no habits or practices that come to mind to help dissolve the stress of the day away.
Perhaps I should try it.
