An ovulatory post

The random ridiculousness of this post reminds me of the calendar diaries I kept as a teenager, my “calendiaries” and I had an idea that I am going to dig them up and maybe do some posts based off of them.

For this moment though, some thoughts I scribbled in the Notes of my phone:

-there are not enough leopard print dresses on this earth, for my liking

-when I post and hear crickets…

-oh and I’m really missing posts from Megan Miles

-ughhh snuggly toddlers >>>> (what is their smell, it’s sooo delicious and adorable, like a kitten)

-planning a vacation really gets me excited, even a teensy one…because of how remote and far north we live, it’s a minimum six hour drive just to get us out of the bush, not even to a city

You can tell I’m ovulating, I’m so much more energetic, happy and my mind owns a sliver of creativity.

  1. My 25 year old son and I had a conversation about ovulation yesterday. It started off with a discussion about how anger comes easier to some men, so they don’t realize there may be sadness underneath, grief of some sort. We agreed that women are fortunate in that there is this cyclical thing that makes it possible, maybe mandatory for some of us, to cry and or scream and start again fresh. 🙂

    2. Lol I’ve wanted to mention ovulation before but backspaced thinking maybe it’s too personal but for me it’s very real, when I’m at the stage in my cycle, I feel so happy and unstoppable, among other things….and who cares right, like Megan Miles says, write like nobody’s reading!

      2. It makes me feel somewhat vulnerable, tbh.

      3. ‘No tears in the writer no tears in the reader’ and all that, but for myself I do think the type of writing and where, makes a difference in vulnerability level. There are things I would only share if I took great care to come at it from several angles. But then there are things another might find slightly uncomfortable but I keep in cause this ain’t IG and the cracks are part of the art. 🙂

Most that I share here is like small adding a small mosaic tile to a much bigger project day by day.
