How do you plan your goals?

This is a tough (or maybe too easy) prompt for me to answer as I neither really make plans if I can help it and I’m not a goal setter. I’m not bragging it’s just not in my nature. I barely make a grocery list when I go to the store.

I’m sure setting goals makes for a very productive and fulfilling existence. Then again flying by the seat of my pants has been alright too.

I’m sure there has been one time or two when I’ve set a goal but I prefer to just let things happen naturally and organically, than to force them.

Recently I’ve thought about setting some goals as far as fitness goes, maybe getting x amount of steps in per day. Some people do that and have had great results. I’m not really looking to lose weight, I’m okay with my not twenty anymore (or even thirty) body, but I do want to stay as toned as possible and not become flabby.

But then I’ve got this number looming over my head all day, this goal to be accomplished. And if I don’t make it, I’ll feel bad about myself. So nah, no thanks.

  1. I’ve made a little peace with the numbers being higher, but it’s where the numbers are gathering that I’m not thrilled with. hahah
