Thanks (I think lol) Stephanie from http://singing-gecko.com/ for tagging me to answer these fun little questions. I’ll keep it short ‘n sweet. I’m so not WP savvy that I don’t know if my copying the links of other bloggers will even work.
How did you come up with your blog name?
My favourite, albeit cheugy, saying for quite a number of years has been “bloom where you’re planted”. You know, living in the North is not for everyone, not without it’s challenges and not for the faint of heart. But at some point I realized there’s no point in complaining about it. Just make the best of it. No matter where you are, bloom where you’re planted. Try and be positive, as much as is possible. The “north” piece of bloom.planted.north is self-explanatory.
If your blog was a person (fiction or real), who would it be?
I mean, that’s pretty obvious isn’t it? It would be me. An odd yet kind of boring, oversharing, happily unsatisfied searcher of more, middle aged (?) white lady who finds the ordinary, extraordinary.
What helps you create new content if you feel like you need some inspiration?
Well this is where I falter, the word “create” barely exists in my vocabulary. If I’m doing something other than answering the daily writing prompt, it’s still going to relate back to my life somehow. I’ve always been a fan of autobiographical writing.
Is there anyone you would like to collaborate with?
I wouldn’t subject anyone to that.
Is there anything more you wish you had or would like to learn as a blogger?
A bigger vocabulary.
Do you have a specific style of blogging?
I hope that when I’m answering the prompts, I am actually answering them, while tying in a personal story. Marrying of the two. Getting both jobs done. Sometimes I know what I’m going to say and other times I just start typing and it comes. That’s the unraveling of the little ball of yarn in my chest.
