I’ll let you know

Daily writing prompt
Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?

Been meaning to try out a lazy day but so far it’s not happened, not in a very long time anyway.

This past Monday was the Thanksgiving Day holiday and since we had our big meal on Sunday, I thought that perhaps Monday I would do nothing and just be lazy, watch Netflix.

I ended up cleaning my bedroom, boiling eggs for our lunches for the week and making granola for the week ahead.

So it wasn’t really lazy. Oh and I went for two walks, like exercise type of walks. Once in the morning and again in the evening.

I’ve read that rest days, do nothing days, are good for your health, probably more so mentally than otherwise. I believe this but weekends go by in the blink of an eye. There’s barely enough time to get tasks done in two days much less one and save one to use as a lazy day.

So what’s a girl to do?

On the flip side, if I get sick and am forced to laze around and do nothing because I’m so ill, I am very aggravated by that. It makes me feel like I am behind on everything. And I don’t like being told what to do, even by my own body.

I don’t usually post about my stats but yesterday I am so happy to say that I surpassed two hundred subscribers! Which, for me, is thrilling!

I told everyone I know, some are better at pretending to be excited for me than others.

    1. Well yeah covid will probably be here forever but at least there’s no longer restrictions and that sort of thing…here anyway there’s no longer any type of covid specific protocols, if you have a respiratory virus, then it’s just a respiratory virus, doesn’t matter if it’s covid or not

  4. I had a total ‘Me’ day on Monday. Did not work at all. Not a total lazy day, but a good day for me mental health.
