I like purposely talking about positives. Some of us don’t inherently have it in us. But if someone TELLS me that I’m up to bat and it’s time to be positive, I can hit a home run.
Of course because I’m here right now I have to list this blog on WP as a positive thing that happened this year. I started my blog in January. I had no idea what WordPress was, heard about it from a coworker and decided to stop being such a chicken and check it out.
I googled “blogs” ’cause I seriously had no idea what was on a blog. I’d seen those uber popular mommy blogs that feature the supermodel gorgeous semi-famous mom in her magazine perfect mansion and her million dollar family, one boy, one girl. And well, that’s just something that I cannot relate to. Not my style.
I had trouble navigating WP at first, I’m not very computer savvy and it didn’t make sense to me the way Facebook or Instagram does. As it stands, my “page” is shit really. I’m so not good at organizing a web page. Thank goodness for my friend Rob at ThingsIhavethoughtof for giving me some honest opinions and help with it.
I’m sure my family is sick of my constant updates about how many subscribers I have, but they are nice about it anyway. 280 as of this morning but I realize a fraction are organic subscribers who actually read and that’s okay.
I’m just really happy to be here, in amongst other people who love writing and it thrills me to be in the company of such amazing, professional writers. I can’t even believe it.
Besides WordPress, other positive events in my life are simply that my family is healthy. It’s not to be taken for granted. For the most part we are happy. Depends on the day lol.
