I’ll tell you a little secret in case you haven’t already figured this out. I love attention. Always did, probably always will. All kinds of attention. But let’s not go there.
I was not shy to be on a stage even as a kid. I got a small role in a musical in about Grade 5 I believe. I wasn’t singing, not even really acting but I had to pretend to be this little old lady.
In high school I opted for the English class that was more of a Drama class. It kind of sucked to be honest. I wasn’t into it.
As an adult I seriously pondered joining adult drama groups a couple of times but it never got past pondering. The people in them always seemed weird to me. But maybe that’s where I’d fit right in and don’t want to believe it.
I’m not afraid of speeches but haven’t made many in my life. I was the class Valedictorian when our Grade 9 class finished junior high so I gave a speech for that. I gave the Eulogy at my Gramma’s funeral.
Most recently a nomination speech for my friend Eric who was running for MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) in our constituency.
