I know I should want people to say “oh she is SUCH a giving person” or “she’s SO kind to everyone” or “she’s BEYOND intelligent”. But I don’t really care about that.
Also, I keep reminding myself of the very wise saying ‘it’s none of your business what other people say about you’.
So what do I care about? The thing that rises to the top, and this is odd maybe, I want people to say that I’m funny.
Of all the other qualities they might overlook, don’t let it be that one.
Obviously not everyone finds me funny, but a lot do.
Okay if you’re reading and thinking, ‘she’s not said one funny thing ever, like what is she talking about?’, that’s just because it might not come through in my writing. I swear. And I can only be funny in person with certain people. And if you have a stick up your butt, you’re not going to find me funny.
My second pick, if not the funny thing, would be something very superficial, like she is pretty…she looks good for her age…she is turning 48 next Saturday but she doesn’t look a day over 37.
I’m just being honest.
