I’m totally taking the easy way out with this prompt. I cheated. I knew nothing about 1976 before checking this out. A couple of years ago I bought a vintage set of encyclopedias from a thrift store. The set begins in the late 60’s and there’s one for each year right up to 1979.
I pulled the 1976 one off the shelf but it was filled with 1975 info, so that’s why you’re seeing 1977 on the cover. They review the year prior, after the fact.
