Since I wouldn’t consider myself a sports person to begin with, this prompt really had the wheels turning in my brain this morning.
I don’t watch any sports, unless hockey is already on tv then I’ll look up from what I’m doing and check it out every so often. You would think that because I was a hockey mom for so many years, I’d be super knowledgeable on all things hockey but truth be told it took me forever just to pick my kid out, from all the others, when he was on the ice.
My favourite sport as a kid and really the only one I played was volleyball. I was okay at it.
Sports I’d like to play now (but don’t, ? new year’s resolution) would include volleyball, but also ping pong and badminton. Maybe also tennis.
What I can never understand is why is there so much fighting in hockey but not in football? What’s the difference? I hate the fighting. It’s so dumb.
Okay back to the prompt, the jerseys would be black, that’s the default colour of my wardrobe.
For something different and to stay true to my roots, how about a cute little cow as the mascot? Horses are used often I think. So why not a cow. They are strong, yet gentle. If I used a Holstein cow then the black colour scheme works because they are the black and white cows.
And yes everybody gets a ribbon for showing up and trying. Even those in tenth place.
