I don’t know, what really is leisure time when you’ve got a household to run (laundry, cooking, cleaning, baking), a fulltime job, a course you’re enrolled in with weekly papers and assignments to get done, a four year old underfoot plus two other kids at home, workouts to try and squeeze in so you can fight aging/age gracefully/be as healthy as possible?
Sometimes I enjoy doing things that are not nice in my leisure time. Like getting annoyed with people for posting things on social media, like what they had for supper. Now, if it’s something cool and the pics are good quality then that’s different and I can appreciate that.
I follow some foodies who blog/vlog yummy meals from restaurants and I am all about that. But if my neighbour three doors down slaps together some KD and weiners, I don’t care, gross.
Something else I do in my spare time is wait until my plants are almost withering to water them. I can’t seem to keep to a watering schedule and was trying to water some of them twice a week instead of just once and now that’s really thrown me for a loop.
So there’s this big vine guy up on the top of my cupboards and when I see his leaves turning in a bit, that’s when I know to water him and all of them.
Cordelia got Clint and I hooked on Prison Break yesterday and we made a pact we wouldn’t watch unless all three of us are there so that’s my new TV fascination. It’s good to have TV fascinations in winter. The Prison Break marathon was a nice break.
