Brb, running away from life atm…

Daily writing prompt
What activities do you lose yourself in?

Nothing surprising here, reading, writing, scrolling, eating.

I’m having one of those mornings where every cord or string that could get caught on something, gets caught on something.

You set your work bag on the floor and lean it against the wall but it still manages to fall over the OTHER way and the contents spill out onto the floor.

Last night Clint was stirring our coffee so forcefully I couldn’t help but point it out. Are you stirring a bit of cream into our coffees or scrambling eggs over there? He used to say that the way his brother stirred his coffee, over and over and loudly, clanking the spoon against the cup repeatedly, drove him bonkers. I said well now you and your brother have one thing in common I guess.

Guess what’s at play here?

Hormones yes. I should have meditated this morning.

Oh, AND, not only have we had very frigid weather this week, nighttime lows of -26 Celsius (with a feels like temp of -38), this weekend we are under a snowfall warning. Great. 25-30 cm of snow coming our way.

I’ll be more chipper tomorrow I swear.

      3. Of course, it helps relieve the stress. Let it all out before your peaceful meditation.

I hope it gets better for you tomorrow. ❤
I have to know what part of the world you're in, because we're in Minnesota and it's 65 here today, and sunny – with snow and freezing rain from 3 AM tonight until 3 PM tomorrow.

      1. My aunt and uncle were just out that way because she could have picked anywhere to go for her birthday and she wanted SNOW. LOL
I believe the Canadian border is about 2 1/2 hours from us if I remember correctly.
And vent all you want. You make venting humorous. I giggled, but in all seriousness… Hope things work out. 😊

      3. RIGHT??!! My kids and I joked with her that her husband would take her ANYWHERE tropical and she wanted to go to Canada.
        She loved it!!
They just got back last weekend.
She absolutely loves snow and she gets so mad when Chicago only gets a little bit of it.
I’d do anything to NEVER get snow up here in the ‘Sota.
Here’s hoping tomorrow just passed us both by with the very minimum. 🥂

  5. I might have to try that one, stirring coffee really loudly. Haven’t tried that before. Gotta keep your woman in a state of permanent frazzle!
