My easy, fast, no-brainer, default answer would be that sunny warm weather is my fave. But if I delve a bit deeper, it depends on the situation. Living somewhere that we do experience all four seasons, although some hit harder than others (winter), each has their own positives.
This winter has been brutal, at least ever since January. The first couple of months, November and December were a dream and left us a bit spoiled. Then January hit and oh my lord, it’s been a wintery, freezing cold nightmare.
Yesterday morning woke up to temps of -29 Celsius with a feels like of -36. On March 22. Like what the what??
But then, that south wind blew in. The afternoon temp got up to -6 I think. Balmy!! And the sun was shining. The streets were melting a tiny bit. That’s sun’s got some heat this time of year.
Cordelia and I took Sid to the sliding hill at Paint Lake. He had a blast! He’s a daredevil and belly laughed all the way down. I’m attaching a quick seven second video, watch the end!
Then we ate at the Marina and the food was amazing. I had my usual, a Reuben and fries, gravy on the side. Such a great day. Made even better by the sun shining and the warm-ish temps. It never ceases to amaze me how nice warm sunny weather can change your mood.
April is almost upon us and we have probably three to four feet of snow that needs to melt. Hopefully by mid-May it’s gone.
