Of course I’ll leave out the elephant in the room, it’s not THAT type of blog. Second best would be dancing I’d say, if fun is the name of the game. I used to love dancing. It does burn calories.
Otherwise if we’re talking actual deliberate “exercise” my fave is yoga. Fun may not be the right descriptor of yoga but it is enjoyable.
I do yoga at home on my own. Well with a four year old actually. He thinks it’s a real thrill to climb up the backs of my legs and onto my back as I move into downward dog. When I plank he actually stands up on my back and jumps off. And when I’m in child’s pose he gets on the floor and tries to wiggle underneath where my arms and face are to snuggle up. It’s the cutest thing.
Walking outdoors with a friend is an amazing mood and energy booster. Walking, talking, gossiping, spilling your guts and laughing whilst exercising in the great outdoors, what could be better?
I would feel really bad if I didn’t take a minute to acknowledge my significant other’s bday today, Happy Birthday Clint Bickel, now otherwise known as Dada in our household, thanks to Sid.
