Considering I only just started career number two fifteen months ago, I hope to be in it for the long haul. Plus I’m only forty-eight and not at all looking forward to retirement.
And really, it’s a dream job. Teaching at the college. When I had to decide what to do with my pension from twenty-four years working as a nurse, I told the retirement planning lady at the bank that I hoped to put in fifteen more years teaching. So we’ll see how that goes.
I took the afternoon off today as the kids and I are driving to Swan River to see my parents, sisters and their families. Also my aunt, uncle, Clint’s older daughter and her kids.
It takes close to seven hours to get there. I haven’t seen my parents or sisters since last July so wayyyy due for a visit.
It’ll be nice to see everyone but even nicer to get back home Sunday. The kids and I have a lot of visiting to pack into basically one and half days.
Wish us luck!
