Bare necessities

Daily writing prompt
What’s the one luxury you can’t live without?

Being able to turn a faucet and have hot water come out and fill my tub, is something I don’t want to live without. It’s my nightly ritual.

It’s one of the things I don’t like about camping, well there are plenty of others too, but it’s a main reason. Camping trailers don’t really allow for stretching out and relaxing in a bubble bath.

To my horror, I’ve rented hotel rooms only to find when I checked in that they were “accessible” rooms and had only a walk-in shower and no bathtub. That’s enough to ruin my day right there.

I’ve said this before but I don’t get showering. It makes no sense. Water sprayed on one part of your body at a time. It’s so cold and you have to stand up. Your front’s warm but now your back’s cold. Your butt’s warm but now your…shoulders are cold.

Not for me.

Notice I didn’t say coffee? That’s because it’s not a luxury, it’s a necessity.

    1. Nice! Will it be a fancy one with jets or just to dunk yourself and relax in?

    1. We did actually!! 🥳🥳
Yesterday morning woke up to see it had rained a bit in the night, again, not enough to even make a puddle but everything was dampish…we’ll take it!
