I think…

Daily writing prompt
What are your top ten favorite movies?

I’m curious to know if I will make the same list as I did last year when I answered this prompt. Yet too lazy to scroll back and look. I haven’t watched a movie in almost a year.

I’ve become a limited series person on Netflix, I like the set up, less commitment and six episodes usually leaves me wanting more. I like that.

Anyway, here goes:

Babel

Crash

Love Actually – although the Pamela Anderson/Liam Neeson thing has me disgusted, he can do so much better…I told the kids I may be striking this off my Christmas must watch movie list if they don’t end it by December

The Family Stone

Inglourious Basterds

Fury

Hacksaw Ridge

Life is Beautiful

Unbroken (the book is better)

The Help

My Dad’s first cousin & I at a wedding, 2014

      1. I guess I didn’t recognize the chick-flicks because I only watch manly-man movies!

Except ‘La La Land’… I cried during that one.

      2. Lol well i was being a bit sarcastic cause not many of my faves are chick flicks, I don’t really like them.
Haven’t seen La La Land but i’m not surprised that you’re more into manly-man movies!

      3. No… I really cried watching ‘La La Land’. It’s not good for your mental health, and the song will haunt you. Don’t watch it, even if it is a chick flick!

  6. Fury is such a great film. I’m not sure when I became a Brad Pitt fan, but Fury and Moneyball are two films I can watch over and over. I did enjoy inglorious bastards. But I only saw it once. Maybe I should give it another go.

I grew up watching WW2 movies. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen the oldies but goodies. I may go down a WW2 movie rabbit hole thanks to you!

    1. I remember the moment I became a Brad Pitt fan lol, I was idk 14ish and he was in Thelma and Louise!
Never did see Moneyball maybe i shld give it a go….
I get all these WW2 movies mixed up in my head because they all kind of blend together after a while! Well except Inglourious Basterds cause it was a bit on the goofy side, although it was based on a true story. I’ve probably watched it 4 or 5 times.

      1. Moneyball is a baseball movie not really about baseball. It’s based upon a true story and a pretty good flick. I’ve watched it about 4 or 5 times.

WW2 movies. Probably my other favorites are The Great Escape, A Bridge Too Far and Saving Private Ryan. There a bunch of other old school movies I grew up with that I’ll watch if I stumble on them, but those three come to mind. Oh… and I can’t forget Band of Brothers. So good.

      2. I was checking out Moneyball on Netflix last night actually…my 3 adult kids and I all share an account and so I was going through each of theirs to see what they watch and Moneyball was on my son’s “watch it again” list.
