Big things

Off to a good start today, was up at 5:30. That’s important to me, so that I have quiet, alone time in the morning. Lit a candle, sat on my yoga mat, did some deep breathing.

It’s my son Taz’s 22nd birthday today. Won’t get to see him as he lives in BC but he is coming home next week for Clint’s daughter’s wedding so we’ll celebrate then.

We are in for a hot and sunny long weekend and I’m looking forward to it. The smoke is all but gone. Fires are not out per se, but now deemed “under control”.

Next week classes begin at the University/College I teach at AND Mr. Sid starts Kindergarten next Thursday. Holy moly.

Bella-Lena is leaving today to go back to Winnipeg for University. Cordelia left last week to go try her luck living in BC, but she’s already saying she’s homesick so I don’t think she’ll last long out there.

Big things happening in my little boreal forest corner of the earth.
