Jonesin’ for toes

I saw this post on Threads where a young woman asked if kids stop being so cute once they become grown ups. Like the baby/toddler kind of cute. And sometimes I think there’s something wrong with me because each comment underneath was a mom saying no, they never stop being that cute, mine are in their teens, mine are in their thirties, mine are in their late twenties and I absolutely still adore them.

I was like whaaaat?

Then finally as I kept scrolling, a comment based in reality where a mom said well they’re cute and I still adore them as adults, but in a different way. I was so relieved and said as much.

Yes of course we still love them as grown ups and now and then you see a peek of them still being the small children they were and it’s cute.

But I’m not jonesin’ to nibble on their toes like I did when they were babies or toddlers, like come on.

On my mind today is finishing my Christmas shopping. I still need to get gifts for mine and Clint’s moms. So that kind of sucks. But I knew we wouldn’t be seeing them before Christmas so I left their shopping for last, very last.

They are both very hard to buy for so wish me luck.

…from my IG story, gotta love it when your daughter can just whip out her little tattoo gun and give you a tattoo at the kitchen table
It was to match the one she gave herself a couple of years ago, hopefully mine fades like hers does, I like it like that
