Nothing better to do

Don’t you hate it when you think of something to write about in the early morning hours but you don’t want to risk waking the tiny baby sleeping beside you, to reach for your phone and put it in your notes, and later it’s vanished from your brain?

Yeah, me too.

If I could have written the prompt today I would have asked, “when you read other’s blogs, do you read just the post or do you read all of the comments as well?”

I am not a comment reader. Just a post reader. Unless it’s one of my posts of course. The odd time if I have made a comment on another post, I might read the other comments as well, although not usually.

I’m curious if others do.

It’s similar to reading all the comments under a social media post or checking to see who “liked” the post. Clint does this and I find it annoying, actually my Dad does too. Nothing better to do I guess. Or really nosey.

Ugghh these roots!! Been wearing a hat everyday at work. Hair appointment is Thurs, thank god

      1. what about foiling in lighter highlights til the dark is all gone, but keep the highlights for brightness against greys. I was going to do that, but ended up clipping all my hair off, instead. I’m too cheap, lol… hugs

    1. But do you take the time to read the comments on others’ posts or you only read the post?

  5. Ill read comments on the post if I also commented on the post. If I didn’t comment on the post then I don’t usually

  6. no, i don’t have time to read other people’s comments. i want to devote my time to reading the actual post. unless it’s a topic that’s really controversial! Mike

  8. You must be an experienced foster mom. You seem to manage your emotions around it so well! I’m curious how many children have you welcomed into your home? They are lucky to have such a loving landing place.

    1. Not really experienced no, Sid was the first baby we took, nearly four years ago and lucky for us, he never had to leave…I’ve only taken a couple of other babies and that was about three years ago for short term and yep it’s super hard when they have to leave which is why i said nope, never again and Sid keeps us busy enough anyway….two weeks ago when they called and asked if this baby could stay for one night I gave in and said okay one night, now we’re going on two and half weeks lol but he’s Cordelia’s baby and I’m just the “Glamma”

      1. Haha, good one Glamma. Cordelia must be a very mature young woman!
Best of luck with the little cutie. 🥰

      2. Glamma was Cordelia’s idea lol, I would prefer just plain old Gramma or something simple…her way of poking fun at me lol….Cordelia needed this I think, which sounds silly for a 19 year old but honestly it’s been really good for her, even she says she’s a better person now….once we’d had him for a week, we just couldn’t let him go, she insisted she would be his mom and take care of him, and she has!

      4. Yes! She’s working fulltime and takes baby to work with her (this will be an ok arrangement for a bit) and she’s taking some classes at the college too, busy busy!

  9. YES, I do read comments, unless there are too many. 🙂 Most of the blogs I follow regularly are easy to skim comments in, and sometimes the comments are from people who I follow too, which makes them interesting. I often will ‘like’ others’ comments, if they resonate, as well.

    1. I like it when i get a notification that someone liked a comment on a post that had nothing to do with them, like wow, you are super thorough lol

      1. giggling. I’m semi-thorough. I should have specified if I didn’t, that the topic has to be especially interesting to me too! 😀

  11. I read comments sometimes, depending on the subject. It’s good to see what others are thinking. I think the white/grey looks good, like Rogue from the X-Men series.
