I probably have two faves.
One is when someone compliments me on one of my kids. For whatever reason, whether it’s their behaviour, personality, work ethic or sense of humour, it’s like a personal compliment times ten when it’s directed at one of my kids.
The other is, or should say was, when I wrote for the paper and people would compliment me on something I wrote. The fact that someone or multiple people read it blew my mind but then to get kudos for it, that had me purring like a kitty cat.
Of course I’d try to play it down and act cool but inside I was bubbling over.
