I’m looking forward to probably the same thing as anyone else who lives in a four-season world, and that is SUMMER. Or even spring at this point.
We kind of skip spring here, we live too far north to enjoy a March and April with slowly melting snow, flowers popping up and walks for ice cream.
March and April are relentless reminders of winter. More snow. More chilly (although less chilly) temps. More wind. More days where all you have to talk about with coworkers is what is going on with this damn weather and when’s it gonna warm up?!
Then around the third week of May BAM! summer rears its head. The ice is finally off the lakes. Most of the ugly and dirty piles of snow that were three stories high in parking lots are mere slushy piles on the ground. The temps are finally consistently above zero. It’s such a relief.
So yeah, with a Monday morning that started off with whipping winds and snow slapping you in the face, and the “feels like” temperature -32 Celsius, I am soooo looking forward to summer.
That’s when I’ll complain about the heat.
