Soup & strategic plans

None of the prompts today suited my fancy so I’m just going to ramble about whatever.

As I was eating soup today at lunch (homemade chicken soup), I was wondering if most people eat their soup with crackers, or without. I mostly prefer to have crackers in it, especially with something like tomato soup, as I don’t like that smooth consistency. I need chunks of something.

It’s the same way I can’t just eat yogurt, I need to add the crunch of granola and blueberries. Really not a pudding fan either.

I sit on the board for our local crisis centre and this morning I attended a session on creating a strategic plan for the organization, to cover the next five years. A consultant from down south was there, guiding us through it.

I have to say that I really enjoyed it. Prior to attending this morning, I had no clue what a strategic plan was. Now I know and can say I was involved in one.

I kind of feel like I should have a strategic plan for my life.

  1. I’ve never had crackers in soup, not a thing here but some people have croutons, and yes mainly in tomato soup. And I’m not really a fan of Bircher muesli, I like the crunch like you 🙂 The strategic plan sounds interesting, I like that type of stuff. I always think that even a wrong plan is better than no plan, at least you can see where you went wrong and keep adjusting and learning (my PM hat on here:-))

I really enjoyed hearing about and giving input on the strategic plan! So cool!
A wrong plan is better than no plan just as a bad tan is better than no tan 🤭😉

  4. I haven’t crumpled up crackers in my soup since I was a kid. Why would I stop doing that? It’s so good…

  6. 🤣 OMG, I almost died reading the new diet. Crackers in the soup—yes! 🙌🏼 I love strategic planning; looking 5 to 10 years ahead and laying out goals is awesome. Quick comment on your new hair color—it suits you! 👍

    1. Thanks Edward, apparently this going lighter thing is a process (my hair colour not my diet/weight lol) and I’m about halfway done 😩

      1. You’re so welcome, my friend. It’s going to be good. Do you like it? I’m assuming yes, since you are going through the process.

      2. I’m not loving it at the moment and honestly I’m going to miss my black hair. However, the greys are outpacing the rest and i just can’t keep up with covering them up, and with black hair they’re soooo obvious. Which is why I’m completely changing the colour, so the greys roots won’t be as noticeable 🤷🏻‍♀️

      3. I see. Yeah, greys over black can be tough. Maybe, over time, you’ll get a nice balance between the greys and the new color. But what do I know? I have no hair. 😂
