Write a list of things that feel like home to you. (Thanks Rojie for the prompt!)
-when I smell grain being harvested, it takes me back to my childhood “home”, love that dusty, earthy smell and how the dust lingers in the light, especially against the horizon when the sun is setting
-people at the kitchen table chatting over a cup of coffee, that’s my people
-now that I’ve spent more than half of my life up north in the boreal forest, when I visit the south it’s cool and everything but as soon as we drive back up into the trees and are surrounded by them, it’s like a big comforting hug where life is a slower pace
