If your week had a theme song, what would it be today? (Thank you for today’s writing prompt Rojie!)
Being that it’s April 22 and not only has spring NOT shown its face to us yet, but we are supposed to get 30 centimetres of the white stuff (that’s nearly 12 inches), over the next 2 days, the theme song for this week would be Tough by Quavo & Lana Del Rey.
Plus I really love this song.
I know there are places where the weather is even worse than ours, further up north. People who are even tougher.
But right here and now, the weather is all everyone is talking about. When will this winter end? Where is spring? People with Seasonal Affective Disorder are finding this neverending winter especially hard.
The only saving grace is that all this snow should help mitigate the forest fires. Last year we had a terrible forest fire situation and for the first time since moving up here in ’99, we were on evacuation alert.
So okay, melting hasn’t begun. More snow to come, and lots of it. But at least it means we won’t go up in flames.
