What’s something you’re looking forward to next month? (Thank you for 30 days of prompts Rojie!)

Today is April 30 and it’s the first day that the temperature this afternoon will get above zero and melting of snow will commence. I’m SO looking forward to more of this in May. Can hardly wait for the snow to disappear.

May also means Mother’s Day, which is one of my favourite days of the year, right up there with Christmas, or even more so. I stay in bed, the kids bring me coffee and breakfast in bed, I look at all my old photo albums and soak in the love. My body and my soul overflows with love on Mother’s Day.

Also, May long weekend (3rd weekend) signals the return of summer fishing and is the first time we can put the boat in the water, that’s providing the ice is off by then which definitely won’t be a given this year, considering people are still snowmobiling and ice fishing on it.
