Pick up the first book you see, turn to page 9, go to line 7, fifth word. Thank you Chase for the prompt!
Well this is fun because at this moment I’m sitting in the library of our hospital, where I’ve set up my “office” and so there are books aplenty, well, aplenty-ish at my disposal.
My students are working hard, tagging along with the certified Healthcare Aides on the med/surg/peds unit, and I’m about to start writing up their mid-term evaluations.
So to answer this prompt, I walked over to the bookshelves and grabbed “The Joy of Stress” by Peter G Hanson. Looks interesting actually. Page 9, line 7, 5th word is “will” as in, ‘this will be discussed later on in the book’.
Will.
I need to act like a grown-up and make a will. The kind that people refer to when you die. I’m 49 years old. It’s probably time.
I’m not opposed to morbid topics, it’s not that. I’m fully aware of dying and death as a reality. It’s just that it sounds like a lot of work and I think you need a lawyer and that can be costly.
When will I make a will? Good question.
