Strange noises/puddles

I can sleep any old way except for on my stomach, that never made sense to me.

Because I’ve had lower back issues since I was 18, (SI joint specifically), I started sleeping with a pillow between my knees years ago, if I’m on my side.

That’s my favourite way to sleep, on my side, doesn’t matter which one, and with a big fluffy pillow between my legs.

But I also sleep on my back sometimes.

I do prefer a thick pillow under my head, whether it’s firm or soft, doesn’t matter, as long as it’s not flat like a pancake. I usually really enjoy hotel pillows as a rule.

I started typing about how sometimes just as of late, I drool in my sleep but no, I’ll spare you of that.

Also, sometimes as I’m falling asleep, I make this weird noise out of my throat. I found a meme that describes it exactly and I’ll insert it if I’m tech savvy enough.

  1. You know that this: “I started typing about how sometimes just as of late, I drool in my sleep but no, I’ll spare you of that.” is just making everyone reading the blog think, “I want the drool story!”

  2. I think it’s an age thing, but on the other hand when I was about 22 a boyfriend wrote a poem about loving my face and part of it went “even though it drools on the pillow at night” – now isn’t that romantic! heheh

I’ve read that we can limit the drooling by holding our tongue against the top of the inside of our mouth.

    1. How do you hold your tongue against the roof of your mouth while you’re ko’d though?!

  3. I think the drool is an age thing. I started doing it at around 66 and couldn’t figure out why. I also sleep with a pillow between my legs, I was told it helped your sciatic nerve.

You stay on your left all night Edward?

      1. Pretty much. Even if I turn to the right, I don’t stay there too long. I’m one of those who kind of wakes up every time I move, so I notice and I think that’s why I stay on that side.

      2. I have had nights like that, where i wake up in the same position i fell asleep in but it doesn’t happen often.

      3. I might need to research that because it’s probably not ideal to sleep on your right side all night. I’m not sure if it puts more pressure on your organs.

      4. Yeah idk, i know the left side is the best side but to stay in one position all night might not be good πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

  7. Haha, the video is so relatable. πŸ™‚ I sleep on my stomach, even when pregnant I was sort of almost on my stomach. I’d love to give it up because it’s not the healthiest way, but just can’t!

    1. To me it’s like sleeping on your head lol, like it would be sooo uncomfortable πŸ₯΄

      1. hah. I get that. I don’t know how it’s so comfortable for me. My leg has to be out weirdly flat so thank goodness I don’t have hip issues.

      3. A work friend brushes her teeth with hot water. It strikes me as the oddest, weirdest thing, even though objectively it’s not *that* strange. πŸ™‚
