The way I am

Whatโ€™s your โ€œIโ€™m not leaving the house todayโ€ outfit?

I’m sorry to be like this, (well okay, not actually sorry, it’s just a thing we say), but I don’t leave the house unless I have makeup on and my hair is done.

Ninety-nine percent of the time I’m wearing a dress or some other clothing I deem fashionable. Wild horses couldn’t drag me out, not even to Walmart, in pajamas. Well I barely own pajamas anymore anwyay.

I wouldn’t be caught dead out in public without at LEAST my eyeliner on, lipstick in place and hair a mess. Thanks to my Aunty Janice for having somehow passed this onto me ๐Ÿ˜Š

I wasn’t always like this no. And I’m far from a princess, honest. But it is currently the way I am.

Be still my heart, Chad, one of the “Americans” who came up to my parents’ place each September to hunt geese. I was about 15-16 and sure I was madly in love with him lol

  1. Hey!!!
It’s so good to be back and reconnect with everyone.
I was under grabadrinkandsitwithme, and Idk what happened, but I could no longer get into my site.
I had to create a new one, so please follow me on xoxoiloveyou.com ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t leave the house without eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss either.
    Hell no! lol.
Is there any way you could find this Chad guy and see what he’s up to these days?

  2. I liked the “not even to Walmart” line. I guess it has the same reputation up there as it does down here?

  3. I’ve never been a heavily made-up gal, but eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, and blush were my go-to’s in my twenties and thirties and as much as I’ve forgotten all about them for the past 15 or more years, I remember how my body appreciated the attention I was paying to it even for those few minutes of applying makeup. That may or may not make sense to you, but that’s how it was. I was never concerned about being seen without makeup, though. Even when I did put it on, I tried to apply it lightly enough to look natural. I get quite a chuckle these days when I see women with spiders on their eyes! Hilarious. Have fun, I say, even to the extent of false eyelashes and sparkles, but don’t take these things too seriously. And if you do, then do!

    1. Iโ€™m the opposite, i barely wore makeup in my teens and 20โ€™s, started experimenting a bit more with it in my 30โ€™s and by my 40โ€™s i was hooked lolโ€ฆit doesnโ€™t take me long to apply, less than 10 minutes but i really enjoy putting it on, like itโ€™s fun!
I could never be bothered with the fake lashes but each to their own ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  5. I like putting makeup on and wearing it. Itโ€™s the getting it off I hate! I feel like it really pulls at the skin around my eyes to get it off each night, but I donโ€™t like sleeping with make up on. What do you do?

    1. Since i do wear waterproof makeup i do have to scrub a bit, usually i wash with a face wash or sometimes just Dove soap and water but what works really great and what i just started doing again is a tiny bit of Vaseline on a makeup remover pad, wipes it away no problem!

  8. I only wear make-up at work and try to let my face have a break the rest of the time, but if I’m doing ‘something’ other than running errands, I will do a little. ๐Ÿ™‚
