What’s a popular advice you think is actually terrible?
Ooooh this is a great question.
Whenever I see women (it’s almost always women), posting things on social media about how they’ve been married 800 years, about how they stuck it out, they didn’t quit, blah blah blah, it makes my blood boil.
It’s usually women from the Boomer generation I’d say, who feel the need to blare their trumpets about sticking it out in relationships, good or bad, for better or worse.
Like, good for you. But it’s a bit of a jab to those of us who called it quits.
Yes, the commitment to your partner is supposed to be forever, but forever doesn’t work out for all of us. And I don’t think you deserve a medal for staying in a crap relationship til one of you dies.
That’s all I have to say about that.
