Sweet on a Saturday

What is one of your favorite quotes? And why?

Wow I just learned something, “bloom where you’re planted”, (one of my faves, obviously), is said to likely be derived from a French bishop in the late 1500’s.

I also really like the quote from Einstein “Any fool can know. The point is to understand.”

Keepin’ it short and sweet today. We were up late watching the “Nickel Days” fireworks, which can’t happen til dark and dark means after midnight. Nickel Days is our yearly summer fair.

Soon we’re going to the parade where Sid will gather up oodles of candy and treats from the parade floats.

Thank goodness big Sissy likes the rides and wants to take Sid on them cause I get sick on them

  1. My mom had “Bloom Where You Are Planted” on a woodblock print on our wall when I was a kid. Ironically, she was a compulsive mover–I think I lived in 12 houses in my first 12 years of life, and she got rid of that print after she divorced my dad. But I’ve thought about it many times since.

    1. Omgsh Joe, how (sort of) ironic lol…although i spose there could be meaning to it no matter where you are or how long you plan to stay. Twelve moves is a lot of moves!!

      1. Yes, and then they turn into teenagers and you don’t have to worry about that anymore because they go on rides by themselves. 😀

  6. That looks like a Tilt A While and I used to like that ride when I was younger. I wouldn’t do it now, but I’d do it now before I’d ride a Ferris Wheel or a Roller Coaster.
