Too much time

Write a post about time, using thisΒ photoΒ from Ianmdudley. Thank you,Β IanΒ for the snap!

Time goes too fast, that’s what everyone says. Unless you want it to hurry up, then it slows right down. I still can’t get over how quickly a twenty minute coffee break at work slips through your fingers like sand, yet twenty minutes of work can feel like forty.

This prompt is ‘timely’, pun intended, as it’s my oldest child’s birthday. Bella-Lena is twenty-five today. She’s yucked out by it, says she feels so old. Of course from where I sit, she’s still a baby adult and her whole life ahead of her.

Besides everything I need to do for her birthday celebration tonight, the clock feels like it’s working against me at the moment. Tomorrow morning is Sid’s Kindergarten graduation ceremony at the school. I’m super pumped for that, should be adorable.

Tomorrow afternoon is the UCN convocation which I’m soooo excited about. It’s much fun and feels so rewarding, watching my students have their names announced one by one and make their way towards myself and the Dean for a handshake (I insist on a hug).

Then tomorrow at five pm, Sid is hosting a backyard Kindergarten grad party for his class. Not sure what I was thinking having all of these five year olds over but I guess we’ll survive for two hours.

After that I will have all the time in the world. For the remainder of summer anyway. I should have my students’ final evaluations wrapped up by June 30 and then I’ll be complaining that I have nothing to do lol, too much time on my hands.

  1. You are a wonder! That’s a LOT, especially all those five-year olds. Congrats to all! (And he is so adorable. The full academic regalia for kindergarten is too cute πŸ₯°)

  4. Isn’t Sid cute in his cap and gown! Five year olds are funny and can be fussy and opinionated. I’m sure you’ll have lots of stories from this party.
