How would your former teachers describe you?
In elementary school, I was pretty timid. Just as I am now in life within a new group of people, I’m quiet in the beginning, taking time to read the room and figure out what’s what and who is whom. So that’s how I spent the first four to five years in school. Quietly watching.
By junior high I was pretty comfortable with my peers. We had basically the same group of kids from grade one (well kindergarten for everyone else but I skipped it and went straight into grade one) until grade nine.
I was definitely not the class clown but I knew when to throw a quip in there to make everyone laugh.
I know I’ve probably mentioned this more than several times but, *a-hem* I was voted the Valedictorian in grade 9. My marks were straight A’s, which our parents expected of us I think (my sisters and I). It was unspoken but it just seemed the thing to do and I had no trouble accomplishing that.
High school was a completely different scenario though. I wasn’t troublesome in the classroom, never really gave the teachers a hard time but I was completely apathetic and all I cared about was passing marks, so I could graduate and get the heck out of there.
College was overall a pretty good experience and I liked my instructors, I studied hard but made sure I left plenty of time for partying. I had the balance down-pat I think.
