How do you handle being wrong?
Well this depends. It depends on the scenario in which I’m wrong.
If it’s a conversation or debate or even a fight with my family, of course I prefer to be right and sometimes even if I’m wrong, I’ll choose to not believe the ‘right’ person. I’ll simply say there’s no way that is true.
It’s not that I mind being wrong, it’s just that how could what I think possibly be not true?
I’ve been told that I’m extremely stubborn, but who isn’t?
But if I am new to a job or I’m in a situation where I’m not in my wheelhouse and there is uncertainty about what to do, I ask lots of questions. I ask for feedback because I don’t want to do anything wrong or say the wrong thing.
I’d rather play dumb and act like I don’t the answer to something, than spread misinformation.
