What’s the last thing you do before you leave the house? And why?
The last thing I do before I leave the house is forget something. My phone, my bag, the reusable grocery bags.
It’s always something.
What I don’t do is like, check three times to make sure the taps are all turned off. My Dad used to do that. He’d always have to go back in and make sure the faucets were turned off, and tightly.
Not only that, the water pump had to quit running before we left the house. He’d actually listen for it, or make one of us listen for it if we used the washroom right before going out the door.
It was always a test of patience, going somewhere with Dad. He’d go back in, one more time, to make sure none of the taps were dripping and while in the house, use the washroom one more time and then he’d have to hangout until the pump stopped running.
That was at least a seven minute ordeal as we waited in the car to get going.
