For now

What’s something you used to tolerate but now you no longer will?

The obvious answer is a drunk husband but Clint doesn’t really ever drink alcohol so it’s not an issue.

It’s all fine and dandy to say that I won’t “put up with” certain behaviours from people and if they continue, well then I will cut them out of my life completely but unfortunately there are times and there are people with whom it’s not realistic to do that.

I disagree with much of what my Dad says but lately it’s easier to act like I don’t have any knowledge of what he’s talking about and change the subject.

I used to love a good argument, especially with him, but now that he’s in his late 70’s, with health problems and hearing problems, I see no point in riling him up.

So in that instance, I’m actually putting up with more, (which I don’t like) but I will grin and bear it. For now.

  1. Those last two words, “For now” are kind of ominous! Butchart Gardens, is that a French name so it’s pronounced like “Boo-char”? Because otherwise it’s making me thing of a medical record the doctor keeps on the size of a person’s bottom!
