Never go

What’s the last movie you’ve seen (streaming or in theaters)?

I moved to Thompson in November of 1999 yet my first time to step foot in the movie theatre was last winter when Bella-Lena, Cordelia and I took Sid to see Sonic 3, (the little blue hedgehog guy).

How did I escape raising three kids and never once going to the movies? I’m not sure. I think that I always assumed it was kind of grungy and not worth it.

I did take the kids to the movies but always when we were out of town or on a vacation. Almost always when we’d come to Winnipeg we’d go see a movie. I remember taking them to see A Christmas Carol in 3D in Orlando.

They did frequent the movie theatre in Thompson but usually tagging along with friends and once they were older, I’d drop them off with a few friends to go see a movie.

So yeah, Sonic 3 is my answer as far as theatres go. I’m not a real avid movie watcher. Last winter also, Cordelia, Bella-Lena and I watched The Help on Netflix or somewhere.

I absolutely loved that movie. Right up my alley.

While waiting on Ikea to open we browsed around Bass Pro Shop
Sid checking on the cots, a mattress, yes exactly what I need for camping next year!
Baby RR & I last evening, we’d all just woken up from a deadly nap

  3. I almost bought a cot for my camping trips. I really like them. Then on Amazon, I found a a queen size air mattress at a lower price. It takes up almost my entire tent, but I’ve never slept so good while camping.

    1. I haven’t slept on an air mattress since probably 2006 and it was crappy lol, woke up on the ground because it lost air through the night 😬
And i was pregnant! I swore never again would i sleep on an air mattress but they’ve probably come a long way. The cot wasn’t really that comfortable either 🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. I rarely go to the moves these days, but I’m seeing The Odyssey today. I did see Sonic for some reason, even without a child in tow. It was really fun! hah

      1. Thankfully I’ve had enough time to hear a lot about it and am going without too high of expectations. 🙂

  5. i’m trying to remember the last movie i went to see and finished it. i’d love to watch movies at a theater but tbh the experience has become so frustrating now. getting there, being there, and leaving. we were trying to watch the most recent mission impossible but lost the desire to finish it when cops had to be called in to remove a group of disruptive people. 1. Yes i hear you Mike, back in the late 90’s dinner and a movie (at the theatre) was my absolute favourite thing to do! But times have changed and now home is preferable 🤷🏻‍♀️
