Me & my man

What’s your favorite photo this year (so far)?

Okay I just fell down the rabbit hole that is my camera roll, and the nearly 26,000 photos on it.

I’ve run out of time and need to get ready for work. There are too many faves to pick from and for the most part, the ones I hearted are pics you’ve seen before from me.

So I went on Snapchat and found this beauty from 6 years ago. I thought this filter was HILARIOUS.

Especially the one where I took a picture of Clint laying in bed (you can just see his head on the pillow), gazing back fondly to Snoop Dog. I died laughing. But I didn’t want to do Clint dirty like that and post it so there’s this one of me instead.

Oh and by the way, it was only plus 1 Celsius this morning! Nearly frost on the ground. And it’s very foggy and spooky looking.

Also, new in my life is I’ve deactivated my FB and Instagram. A new me, unbothered and elusive, (yeah right).

I’m at work in this pic, working in a long-term care facility, yes the Covid years, no scrubs on because they follow the Eden Philosophy there

  1. that’s a great photo…very descriptive of the times too…one of these days I’m going to figure out how to add a photo to a reply…but thanks for giving me a reason to troll back through photos and smile at some very cool times 😉

    1. I probably found it a bit too funny, maybe it’s a Gen X thing lol, my kids were like Mom, it’s not that funny! I just honestly thought it was so cool that it looked so real!

  2. How hard was it to deactivate with Facebook for you? Maybe it’s different now. But Congratulations that you pulled it off. I’ll get to your comment in a few minutes. Thanks and Happy Wednesday! Rob

    1. They do make it difficult Rob!! It’s crazy. Like when I finally figured it out and clicked “deactivate”, my screen went funny like the wheel spinning and spinning and nothing happened so I had to do it all over again. I swear they do that on purpose! But yep, it’s done. I do feel lighter lol.
      Happy Wednesday to you too!

    1. I really did! I didn’t want to write about the real reason but in short form I’ll say that both of those accounts were full of pics of Sid, because, well, he’s my baby and we love him and want to show him off, and all his accomplishments. What parent doesn’t, right? But because he came to us from a foster care agency, they had probs with us posting him. Which I knew but I always threw a middle finger to them for it. But yesterday they came down on us (myself and Cordelia with Baby RR) for it and so rather than remove all the pics and act like they’re not in our lives, I simply deactivated it all. If I can’t show off these babies then I don’t want it, I think it’s cruel when people are posting accomplishments of their bio kids and leaving out the others. Sorry for the long reply Mike lol, guess maybe I did want to get it off my chest 🙂

      1. oh, i see. yes, i agree with your stance. i don’t know why the agency would have a problem with it. like, there’s bigger issues in that domain to pay attention to instead of a loving foster family posting pics with the child. i just don’t get the bureaucracy they enforce for some things and for others it’s like they don’t care when it’s just as, or more important! :/
