Best feeling ever

When were you the happiest?

I’m thinking back on life events, because I’m not sure in what context to answer this question.

Despite how sour I currently feel about people formally getting married and having weddings, I was definitely excited when I got married. Not so much with the planning, we kept it simple and I didn’t care if it was “picture perfect” to be honest. But it seemed like an important part of growing up back then and another thing I could tick off my adult to-do list.

Of course having kids was the ultimate feeling of happiness and fulfillment. I’d wanted to be a mom since I was a kid myself. When I was barely older than a baby myself I loved playing with and pretending to care for and nurture my dolls. I started babysitting real life babies at age 11 and it felt very easy and natural.

Sid joining our family when the youngest of my 3 older kids was already 15 was definitely a lifetime highlight I could never fail to mention. The baby we didn’t know we needed.

I love my job now and have probably said it’s my dream job but when I wrote for the newspaper, that made me very happy as well. I loved it when people would tell me that they read what I wrote and how much they liked it. One of the best feelings ever.

Of course I have to share Sid’s first day of school pic, he’s holding his hand out to see if he can feel the raindrops, not sure why he needed the red balloon lol
