My understanding is that there will ‘probably’ be less snow and more rain where I am, but not sure what it means for you. We need snow here to stave off drought, rather than rain.
Generally it means droughts and floods, I think.

An average first snowfall of September 22 is a genuinely startling number – that is a week away. Answering “what would improve your city” with “move winter back” is very fair when the calendar is that unreasonable. Your note in the comments that it is snow that falls rather than snow that stays is the only comforting part of this. Meanwhile the children would be thrilled, which is the usual split in our house too.
