Have you ever had a health scare?
Yep I sure have. It’s very scary and also very difficult to stay calm and present and think positive when your brain is imagining the worst.
I need to go back for a repeat ultrasound sometime this winter as there’s a small cyst or something in my right boob that they’re keeping an eye on. I’d have never known it if I hadn’t gone for a screening mammogram. It sucks because it’s my favourite boob. Anyway…
There are people with a lot worse health scares that’s for sure. I was just telling Clint last night on our walk about a lady here in town who is the same age as me, who recently went through a double mastectomy only to find out the cancer has spread into her bones.
Imagine. It’s so sad and heartbreaking.
I had been talking to Clint about whether or not I am going to run for city council and I said if I don’t do it now then I wait another four years and I could be dead by then. He said oh c’mon, as if. So that’s when I told him the story of this lady with the breast cancer.
I said one minute you think you’re perfectly fine, the next minute you have a lump and the next they’re telling you it’s spread everywhere and there is a time limit on your life.
It happens just like that. So scary.
In other news it snowed all morning yesterday! It melted as it hit the ground, thank god, but still! I tried to take pics but you can’t see a single snowflake for some reason.
This morning it’s very chilly and we’ve had our first frost.
