Do you think that ignorance is bliss?
I mean, I was going to say yes, but then I read some of the comments and posts of people disagreeing that ignorance is in fact bliss.
And I kind of get it. To bury your head in the sand and not take notice or take part in what’s going on can seem almost like you’re not doing your part in this world.
Those who do the worrying, the thinking, the solving, are actively participating in making changes. The ignorant live free from those chains.
So I suppose, like any answer to any prompt, there are two sides to each story. There are times or circumstances where it might actually be smarter to bury your head in the sand and not worry, live blissfully unaware. Other times, it might seem just plain ignorant to do so.
In other news, honestly, thanks in part to much of the encouragement I received here from my blogging friends, I did submit my nomination papers to run for city council!!
I’m so excited! I woke up at 3:30 am and have been awake since, my mind won’t settle. So now to do some campaigning and get my face out there!
